The Making of a Love Ball. Saturday February 11, 2012

The Hudson Pride Foundation is happy to sponsor the Love Ball and live in a state where  all couples can get married, equally.

Thank you for your support.

On Saturday, Feb 11th, two couples were wed by Hudson’s Mayor, William Hallenbeck, under a canopy of flowers and foliage, graciously provided by Jeanne Cameron Designs at the chic & trendy Club Helsinki in Hudson, NY.

Family and friends watched as Rob Bujan and Jeffrey Perry, and Jutta Martin and Brian Sullivan exchanged their vows and shared a dance. The festivities continued well into the night with champagne, red velvet cupcakes (provided by Irene’s Bakery), portraits (provided by Roy Volkman) and lots of dancing.

This event, sponsored and hosted by the Hudson Pride Foundation, a Columbia County LGBT non-profit organization, was the first of its kind. According to Rich Volo, President of HPF, the hope is to hold this event annually. "It was a great night. Two beautiful couples got married. We all got to celebrate love and that’s what it’s all about.", said Volo.

The Hudson Pride Foundation would like to thank the HPF board, all of the volunteers, Club Helsinki, Mayor Hallenbeck, the lovely Lady Moon, Charmed and Dangerous singers Ophelia Nightly, Cocoa Channel, Jeanne Cameron, Irene’s Bakery, all of the vendors that tabled, Roy Volkman, DJ Rob, the local merchants of Hudson, the continues support of a loving community, and the two happy couples, Rob & Jeff, and Jutta & Brian!
